Cutter Hodierne’s Cold Wallet is a slow-burn, semi-intense hostage thriller that feels like a pumped-up, Robin Hood-style twist on Dumb Money. The movie unfolds like a tense psychological chess game, with Josh Brener’s cocky crypto bro trying to outsmart his captors while staying alive. Raul Castillo shines as a desperate dad, adding depth to an off-track scheme. Some of the criticisms could be made that the characters might feel like familiar clichés. Overall, it's a decent, slow burn thriller that dives into greed, power, and justice in the digital age. (VOD)

Five men in masks hold a family hostage in their family room
An incredulous tale of revenge in 'Demon City'

Demon City is like a wild mix of John Wick and The Crow, packed with over-the-top action that's almost too crazy to believe. It starts with a cool idea but quickly goes off the rails, diving headfirst into chaos. The action never stops, but neither do the plot holes—so don't overthink it. If you're after something deep, this isn't it. It's pure, unfiltered chaos. Probably one to skip on Netflix unless you're in the mood for a totally mindless action flick. If that's the case, grab some popcorn, switch off your brain, and enjoy the ride. (NETFLIX)
